Taxi Driver is a 1976 film directed by Martin Scorsese and written by Paul Schrader, winner of the Palme d'Or at the 29th Cannes Film Festival.
Considered by many to be one of the most important and controversial films of American cinema, has been acclaimed for his scenes of high impact and for its harsh realism. It has often been called existentialist film, both narrative style is the inspiration for Scorsese and Schrader have drawn from the novels of Dostoevsky, like Notes from Underground and Crime and Punishment. The film has made it famous both its lead actors, Robert De Niro Jodie Foster and , it only thirteen years old when the film was released.
The author of the soundtrack is the famous Bernard Herrmann, known for his collaboration with Alfred Hitchcock (especially Psycho). It was his last composition, Herrmann died before the film opened in theaters. Taxi Driver is dedicated to his memory.

Even though most of you have seen this movie, I am happy to leave my own reflection ... First of all
was shot by one of the best directors ever ... Martin Scorsese!
Excellent interpretation of Robert De Niro, who In my view, alternating between moments of absolute peace and situations of extreme folly.
Very good even Jodie Foster, who was then very young (just 13 year old) who played a part not easy!
In 1976 just a film like Rocky was able to wrest the Oscar for Taxi Driver ...
